Sai Charan Bhaskaruni was born into a typical middle class, Telugu family on the 9th of November, 1991. Though his family has no music background, everyone is fond of film music and this love for music passed on to Sai Charan at a very tender age. He received the prestigious A.P State Ghantasala award from the hands of the doyen of Carnatic Classical music Sri Dr. Mangalampalli Balamuralikrishna at a very young age. Sensing the talent in him, Charan's parents realized that with proper music education, he could become really skilled at it. He was taken under the wings of Sri D.V.Mohanakrishna, who is a disciple of Sri Dr. Balamuralikrishna. In addition to his Carnatic classical training, he learned the nuances of light music from Sri K.Ramachary and has also received a grade 4 certification from London's Trinity University for Western classical piano under the tutelage of Sri Ranjith

Sai Charan has a slew of awards, both on-screen and off-screen, under his belt. Some of the notable off-screen awards are - Bala Gandharva(2004), Bala Kokila(2005), The Most Talented Kid(2006) and Chacha Nehru(2006). He has participated and won many reality tv shows like Maa TV's Paadalani Undi(Winner), Gemini TV's Once More Please(Winner), Zee TV's Sa Re Ga Ma Pa  Jodi no.1(Finalist) and ETV's Paadutha Theeyaga(Finalist). His successful career in TV led him to get his first break in Tollywood. Sai kartheek, a popular composer, gave Charan his first playback song "Epudu Chundandi Hayila" in the movie "Alalu". Charan went on to sing playback for over 500 songs in various south Indian movies and 1000+ private indie songs. Charan has had the privilege to work with many prominent music directors in around 300 movies and continues to sing for them.
